Thiruvananthapuram: In the murder case of Sanal Kumar, who was allegedly pushed in front of a moving car by DySP B Harikumar in Neyyantikkara, the witness is facing threat.

Mahin, a hotel owner who witnessed the alleged incident, revealed that he was threatened by some people.

Speaking to Mathrubhumi News, Mahin said that on Thursday, after the crime branch officials visited him, gang of four unknown persons arrived at his house and verbally abused him.

On Friday a person, who looked like a goon, came to his hotel and threatened in a way interrupting his business. After this the hotel was closed in the afternoon out of fear, he added.

Meanwhile, police have initiated probe into the alleged threatening. They arrived Mahin’s house and collected details.

At the same time the accused in the Sanal murder case, Harikumar is still absconding.

It is also alleged that police tried to make the incident look like an accident.

Neyyatinkara native Sanal Kumar (32) was killed in a road accident after being pushed by DySP B Harikumar towards a moving car on Monday. The incident took place following a verbal spat between the two over vehicle parking.
