Never cheated UDF; Joseph tried to hijack Kerala Congress (M), says Jose K Mani
Kottayam: Responding to the allegations raised by UDF, Kerala Congress (M) leader Jose K Mani asserted that he never cheated UDF and treachery was not the culture of Kerala Congress (M). He pointed out that his faction followed all agreements with UDF and even then they were ousted from the Front.
The Kerala Congress (M) leader also alleged that PJ Joseph and Congress betrayed him in Pala.
Jose K Mani publicly announced his stance against UDF after opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala criticized his faction while briefing media on the decisions taken in UDF meeting.
“PJ Joseph committed political treachery. UDF did not consider the complaint on betrayal in Pala. We did not quit UDF. But they expelled us on account of an agreement which never existed. UDF should tell whether they have ended all relationships with Kerala Congress (M),” stated Jose K Mani.
He also alleged that somebody conspired to destroy Kerala Congress (M) after KM Mani’s demise.
“They disgraced K.M Mani’s soul. PJ Joseph was trying to hijack Kerala Congress (M) when he came to know about Mani’s illness. The self-respect of each Kerala Congress (M) activist was questioned when some people attempted to elevate, within the party, those who tried to hijack the party's legacy. Kerala Congress (M) does not need any one’s certificate to prove Mani’s legacy and will not surrender the self-esteem to anyone,” added Jose K Mani.
Some people targeted collapse of Kerala Congress (M). Now, there is no Joseph faction in Kerala Congress (M). The decision on joining the new Front will be taken soon,” Jose K Mani further declared.
