Kochi: NDA candidate in Kalamassery held a protest alleging a person cast vote in another name at polling booth number 77 here.
NDA candidate P S Jayaraj staged a sit-in protest at the booth following this. He alleged that this was bogus voting and that the polling officers refused to file a complaint with the police.
The police are trying to pacify the candidate. Several NDA workers came to the polling booth on knowing about the incident. With this, polling was interrupted at the booth for over 30 minutes.
