New Delhi: NCP MLA Thomas K Thomas met the central leadership of the party here on Wednesday to discuss the conduct of state chief PC Chacko. Thomas met NCP national chief Sharad Pawar and informed that Chacko has been taking decisions in the state all alone. Chacko was appointed as NCP chief after severing his decades-old ties with the Congress party.
Thomas told Mathrubhumi News after his meeting that Pawar had agreed to intervene to resolve the issues. He also shared the reasons why he visited NCP’s central leadership. According to Thomas, those who have arrived from Congress party are hijacking NCP. He alleged that a section of members led by Chacko are behind this hijack.
Even in party units of NCP in Kerala, priority is given to those who shifted from Congress, he alleged. The same can be seen at board and corporation levels, he said. Thomas also alleged that during decision making, no NCP members are being involved. He also pointed about how he worked with Thomas Chandy, former NCP MLA of Kuttanad, who died in 2019.
Responding to a question if Mani C Kappan, who exited NCP, will make re-entry, Thomas said NCP is not a party for people who can come and go. He added that Kappan himself conveyed that won’t join NCP. “Then how come he will make a re-entry?” he asked.
