Thiruvananthaouram: Kummanam Rajasekharan claimed that the decision regarding the new BJP president in Kerala will be taken by the national leadership of the party. He said all workers will have to abide by the party decisions and that if asked he would accept the state presidentship of the party again.
Speaking to Mathrubhumi news, Kummanam said that BJP has its own system and constitution in place and that the party takes its decisions in accordance with it. He also revealed the RSS doesn’t have a different opinion on the matter, adding that his view on the issue doesn’t matter.
Kummanam also opined that NDA will march ahead stronger after they study the setback faced by them in the bypolls. NDA’s vote share came down by 16,000 votes from the previous Assembly election at Vattiyoorkavu. However, both LDF and UDF’s share came down by even more votes in Aroor and Konni constituencies, Kummanam observed.
He has also added that NDA has improved its position from the previous elections and that the party has its own system in place to study the defeat in the by polls.
