Bus met with accident on Thamarassery ghat road

Kozhikode: A major tragedy was averted on Thamarassery ghat road when a bus hit a safety wall and stopped after moving nearly three metres forward. A Karnataka transport bus from Bengaluru to Kozhikode met with an accident at the seventh hairpin curve on the ghat road.

The incident happened around 5 am on Monday. All passengers and bus employees are safe,say reports.

The passengers in the bus were safely deboarded and taken to Kozhikode in other vehicles. Attempts are being made to shift the bus from the accident spot using a crane.

Traffic through the road is partially blocked following the accident.
