Car met with accident
Thenmala: A driver had a narrow escape after his car fell into a stream near Kollam- Thirumangalam National Highway in Edapalayam after losing its control. The youth, who was travelling from Anchal to Rosemala by car, escaped without severe injuries. The incident happened on Saturday around 11.15 am.
The car fell to a depth of 15 feet when the driver tried to overtake a vehicle moving ahead. The impact of the accident abated as the car fell through the bushes and did not plunge into the stream. The natives rushed to the spot and managed to rescue the youth. They rushed him to Punalur taluk hospital.
According to the natives, the spot is an accident-prone area due to the narrow roads and absence of fencing.
