Thriuvananthapuram: A person from Nanniyode in Thiruvananthapuram has revealed that he saw Swapna Suresh, the key conspirator in gold smuggling case, on Monday morning. Swapna talked to him while asking for direction to the eco-tourism centre on Kerala-Tamil Nadu border.

The person identified as Gireeshan hailing from Kochuthannimoodu near Palode of Thiruvananthapuram revealed that he saw Swapna Suresh. He said that she asked him the way to reach Mankayam Brimore eco-tourism centre. She was driving an Innova car and there was another woman in the car. Gireeshan added that he saw them on Monday by 9.30 in the morning.

Gireeshan could not recognize her then. But later, many pictures of Swapna were released through media. With this, he identified the woman to be Swapna. He said that there are many paths leading to Tamil Nadu through forest near Mankayam eco-tourism centre. But tourists are not allowed in the centre at present.

All these revelations strengthen the suspicions that Swapna might have left to Tamil Nadu. The Customs received the visuals of Swapna leaving her flat on Saturday.
