Thiruvananthapuram: Time for distributing electronic voting machines and stamping the name of candidates on the machine has been fixed ahead of the local body polls in the state.

The first phase of the local body polls will be held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha and Idukki districts on December 8.

The collectors will distribute the machines to these districts on Wednesday and Thursday. The name and symbol of candidates will be stamped on the voting machines on December 4 and 5.
