Nambi Narayanan hits back at Senkumar, says he is an accused in case filed by him
Thiruvananthapuram: Scientist Nambi Narayanan has responded to the harsh criticisms made by former DGP T P Senkumar in connection with awarding Padma Bhushan, the highest civilian honour of the Republic of India.
Nambi Narayanan said that Senkumar’s statements are wrong and he is talking insignificant matters. “No one is giving any importance to his statement. The SC Commission was not appointed to investigate the espionage case but only to probe the police lapses,” he said.
Nambi Narayanan said that Senkumar is an accused in the case that he had filed. Hence he may be worried and concerned over that. He is giving inappropriate statements.
Former state police chief T P Senkumar has come out against former ISRO chief Nambi Narayanan who has been conferred the third highest civilian award Padma Bhushan. Strongly coming down against awarding the prestigious honour to Nambi Narayanan, Senkumar asked what has he done to gain this. “Will Govindachami, Ameerul Islam and Mariam Rasheeda be conferred with Padma Vibhushan next year?” he mocked.
