Thrissur: A day after the death of Puttekkara native Arun Kumar, the police here on Wednesday arrested his friend over charges of murder. The accused is identified as Tinu Peter, a bakery employee and native of East Fort.
According to police, a clash which erupted in their inebirated state ended up in the murder. In the statement police, some people revealed that the deceased had an interaction with a bike-borne person. These statements turned crucial in the probe in which the officials were searching in the dark.
Arun Kumar, an engineer was found on the roadside at Puttekkara around 2 am on Tuesday. Though he was rushed to the medical college, he breathed his last in the morning. As per the preliminary assumption of the doctors, a severe injury on the head resulted in his death. Meanwhile, a mystery is looming over the youth’s death. There were cuts and bruises on his face, head and other parts of his body.
