MVD temporarily suspends ‘Operation Screen’

Thiruvananthapuram: ‘Operation Screen’ of the Motor Vehicle Department has been stalled temporarily. The inspection of cooling films, curtains in vehicles have been stopped temporarily. The order regarding this was issued by the Transport Commissioner. However, the vehicle inspections will carry on as usual.

The Transport Commissioner urged that the vehicle owners should abide by the law.

Motor Vehicle Department started ‘Operation Screen’ in order prevent pasting cooling papers and the use of curtains inside vehicles. Supreme Court had banned the use of cooling papers and curtains in vehicles.

Only factory-manufactured tinted glasses are allowed in vehicles.
