The bus driver using a mobile phone while driving
Kochi: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) has taken action against a bus driver for using mobile phone while driving. MVD took Rubeesh into custody who is a driver of a private bus in the Aluva-Thevara route. A picture of Rubeesh chatting on his phone, snapped by a passenger, had become viral.
The MVD conducted an inspection and took the driver into custody. The officials also checked the bus and found serious violations, including a disconnected speed governor.
The assistant motor vehicle inspector told Mathrubhumi.com that a stop memo has been issued against the bus.
