Kannur: CPM Kannur district secretary MV Jayarajan strongly criticised the high court for banning government employees from participating in the strike. Jayarajan also said that the court is acting like it is being controlled by a ‘British ghost’.

'In independent India, the judiciary says employees have no right to strike. If Gandhiji had stopped the strike when the British banned the strike, there would have been no independent India today. The right to strike is at no one's leniency. This is a struggle for survival,” said MV Jayarajan. He also added that it is unfortunate to ban the strike of government employees and behave like being possessed by the ghost of Britishers.
