Idukki: CPM state secretary MV Govindan dismissed Swapna Suresh's recent allegations against the party and Kerala Chief Minister. He remarked that the party would legally take action against Swapna Suresh.

On Thursday, Swapna alleged that a middleman named Vijesh Pillai approached her and offered Rs 30 crore and a visa to leave the country and stop levelling accusations against the Kerala chief Minister and his family.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Govindan remarked that he is unaware of how Swapna came up with the name "Pillai". He pointed out that the so-called middleman's name varies in each media report, thus revealing the "script" behind these allegations.

"There is a clear political agenda behind targeting Chief Minister and his family. However, this won't affect us. I don't understand how they came up with the name Pillai," he said. In Kannur, no one uses the surname Pillai. But, I don't know anyone by that name in Kannur, he added.

"When you prepare a script, you must ensure that you select appropriate names. Otherwise, people won't believe what you say," he said.
