Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary MV Govindan declined of knowing anything about the injury sustained by Revolutionary Marxist Party MP K K Rema during a ruckus in front of the assembly speaker's office on March 15. He remarked that the police could decide whether to probe on the complaint lodged by her and not the party.

"I don't know whether she suffered injuries on her hand. I have seen multiple media reports that contradict the claims. It is up to the police to decide whether to launch a probe," he said.

Meanwhile, MV Govindan slammed BJP for their meeting with Thalassery Archbishop Mar Joseph Pamplany. He added that promises made by the archbishop would not do any good to BJP.

Earlier, the bishop said he is assuring BJP an MP seat from Kerala if the price of rubber is increased to Rs 300.
