Thiruvananthapuram: The most crucial evidence of the attempt to sabotage the Muttil tree felling case has come out. The phone call records of NT Sajan, journalist Deepak Dharmadam, Anto Augustine and Roji Augustine ( the the latter two are the accused in the case) have come to light. The phone call records are important evidence that validates the investigation report on the conspiracy.
Sajan and the accused spoke 86 times and the journalist Deepak Dharmadam has called the accused 107 times. The Forest Department had earlier reported that the accused hatched a conspiracy to trap the officer who unearthed the illegal tree felling.
The report also mentioned that Sajan and Deepak Dharmadam had tried to sabotage the case. Subsequently, it was alleged that despite the report filed against NT Sajan, no action was taken.
Another case was allegedly fabricated to cover up the Muttil tree felling case and trap the officer who exposed the illegal tree felling. According to the report, fake news about this matter had come out. Following this, the records of the long phone conversation between the accused have come out in the open.
