Muslim outfits to protest against UDF-Welfare Party alliance
Kozhikode: Various Muslim Youth organisations have declared protest against UDF’s alliance with Welfare Party. Samastha and Mujahid organisations have decided to protest against communalism and terrorism in a move to oppose UDF-Welfare Party alliance.
The organisations observed that UDF's alliance with the Welfare Party will shatter secularism.
The Muslim youth organisations warned that making a political alliance with communal politicians and religious terrorists will create trouble.
“Welfare Party has got only 50,000 votes in Kerala. UDF should decide whether they want to sacrifice 50 lakh votes for 50,000 votes. Welfare Party should disown Maududism before joining hands with UDF," said Aboobacker Fyzee representing youth organisations.
Recently, the Welfare Party had criticised Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and alleged that he is using Islamophobia ahead of elections. Attacking CPM, Welfare Party president Hameed Vaniyambalam said that the party will join hands with UDF.
Now, Samastha-Mujahid organisations have come forward against the Welfare Party condemning communal politics.
At the same time, the Welfare Party has declared that they don t have any links with Jamaat-e-Islami, so they don’t need to respond to such statements.
CPM leader Muhammad Riyas stated that LDF is not examining UDF-Welfare Party alliance as something to be celebrated.
He noted that organisations like the Welfare Party and SDPI are promoting ideas which are dangerous to society. They are functioning to create a religious state, he added.
“If Congress which stands for secularism, joins hands with the Welfare Party, it should be considered as a dangerous one. It reveals the destruction of Congress. As the Congress-led UDF is under collapse, they are ready to cooperate with anyone,” criticised Riyas.
