Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary A Vijayaraghavan has dismissed the allegations against CPM over the controversy related to Muslim League.

"It is a fact that ED served a notice to Muslim League's mouthpiece 'Chandrika'. But the Muslim League could not escape by making allegations against the CPM," said Vijayaraghan in a press conference while responding to Kunhalikutty's allegation that CPM created the controversies against Muslim League.

It is clear that there is a deep crisis and big difference of opinion within the Muslim league. All this proves that Muslim League lacks leadership. It never upholds the strength of the party. The crisis in the Muslim League is over disagreement related to money laundering case. They criticise that this is an example of the LDF government's anti-minority stance. That is quite unbelievable and ridiculous, he added.

Kerala government has support of all segments. After losing the polls, Muslim League treats LDF as an enemy. The prevailing controversy in the Muslim League hints the beginning of a crisis in the UDF, he said.

On the other day, PK Kunhalikutty alleged that CPM created the controversy as an attempt to divert attention from the government's anti-Muslim stance.
