Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal

Malappuram: The newly-appointed Muslim League state president Sadiqali Shihab Thangal ruled out the rumours of the entry of the party into the ruling LDF. He said they are just 'fables'. Thangal was talking to Mathrubhumi News after taking charge as the party president.

On the rift with Samastha Kerala Jem-iyyathul Ulama, Sadiqali said League and Samastha are mutually inclusive. There will be differences of opinion. It is natural. Samastha has made it clear that it will support League in the Waqf Board recruitment issue, he said.

He also said that League will resist communal organisations.

Sadiquali said there will not be a continuation of the LDF rule in the next election. League will stand by Congress as it is the biggest secular organisation in the country, he added.
