Malappuram: The Muslim League has expressed doubts regarding the stand taken by Congress on issues related to minority communities. This assumption was made at the Muslim League working committee meeting held at Manjeri here.
The agenda of the working committee is to analyse the poll debacle faced by the party and the subsequent political outbursts. Meanwhile, the League leaders have expressed doubts over the stand taken by Congress on various issues involving minority communities in the state.
The leaders accused Congress of taking a lacklustre stand on issues such as Pala Bishop’s controversial Narcotic Jihad remark and minority scholarships.
The League believes that Congress does not have the confidence to recover from the debacle suffered in the Assembly elections. The League leaders pointed out that they can recover from the election defeat but Congress is not capable of that.
The party has also decided to ensure proper discipline is maintained within the party. It has also been decided that the party would appoint spokespersons for handling the media responses.
