IUML leader P Shaduli no more

Nadapuram: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) Kozhikode district committee vice president and writer P Shaduli (72) passed away. He was also a member of the state working committee of IUML and the state vice president of the Independent Farmers’ Union.

Shaduli had served as president of Nadapuram Grama Panchayat, director of Kerala State Library Council, Kerala State Warehousing Corporation chairman, Shoranur Metal Industries chairman, and director of Steel Industries Kerala Limited (SILK).

He had close ties with major Muslim League leaders like Panakkad Muhammedali Shihab Thangal, E Ahamed and CH Muhammed Koya.

Along with his active political career, he was also a noted author who recorded the rural life of Nadapuram and the political scenario of his lifetime. He was survived by his wife Safiya Shaduli, who is also a former Grama Panchayat president, and children P Muneer, Sabira, Sajidha, Abdul Kareem, Ashraf, Saudha and Safeera.
