Thiruvananthapuram: Doctors of Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, who allegedly refused to admit road accident victim Murugan, thus resulting in his death, are likely to be arrested. They have approached the High Court for anticipatory bail. The doctors were interrogated by the Commissioner at Kollam.

The health department had found out that the Medical College authorities are at fault in the death of Tamil Nadu native Murugan. The probe committee headed by the Director of Health Department discovered that the doctors have neglected the procedures to be followed when a patient in critical state is admitted.

The Supreme Court had demanded for an expert committee report for arresting the doctors. The police also plan to consider the report made by secretary of health department as an expert committee report. Meanwhile, the High Court ordered the police to submit the documents related to the case, upon the anticipatory bail plea by the doctors.

The police charged the case against doctors under the sections IPC 304 and 336.
