New Delhi: Union minister V Muraleedharan slammed Finance Minister Thomas Isaac and asked whether he was opposing the report of Comptroller and Auditor General fearing he would be held accountable. When CAG is pointing out the irregularities, proper explanation should be given instead of blaming it on the Centre, he added.

Isaac is opposing the CAG report as it will reveal the corruption. The chief minister wrote to Prime Minister demanding a central agency probe in the wake of gold seizure. But, after allegations against KIIFB surfaced, CM has not written to PM. Is it because Minister Isaac would be found guilty, Muraleedharan asked.

I suspect Isaac has gone crazy. I am not aware of any system introduced by RSS to probe against KIIFB. If he knows, let him explain. Let the Vigilance probe if Ram Madhav had met anyone or not. Let Crime Branch probe. The government is trying to sabotage the probe on money laundering. But the public will realize their intentions, he added.

Muraleedharan also stated that the Marxist party is trying to provide a safe haven for smugglers and money launderers by falsely propagating the moves of central agencies as anti-Kerala.
