Muraleedharan eligible candidate than Thushar: Vellappally
Alappuzha: SNDP yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan has welcomed NDA’s decision to field BJP leader V Muraleedharan in Rajya Sabha polls. He noted that Muraleedharan is an eligible candidate than BDJS state president Thushar Vellappally.
“Muraleedharan is the most eligible candidate from Kerala for Rajya Sabha seat. NDA has taken the right decision on candidate from Kerala for Rajya Sabha polls, said Vellappally Natesan.
He also pointed out that neither Thushar nor BDJS had demanded MP seat.
“Some journalists at Kozhikode has published the fake news on Rajya Sabha ticket to Thushar,” he added.
Meanwhile he criticised that BJP leadership in Kerala is inefficient to manage NDA and it will be reflected in the Chengannur by-poll result.
“BJP in Kerala has leniency towards forward castes and BDJS support backward castes. But BJP has not taken any initiative to unite forward and backward communities. Therefore, the BJP will not make any progress in Kerala,” criticised Velappally.
He also slammed BJP for not responding positively to the demands of BDJS regarding the positions in board and corporation. He asked BJP to learn lesson from LDF and UDF on treating allies. He noted that UDF and LDF have given positions even to small allies in the front.
Vellappally also criticised the BJP for the delayed Rajya Sabha ticket to Muraleedharan.
