Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC President Mullappally Ramachandran criticized K Muraleedharan for stating that he will not campaign for the party in Vadakara if action is not taken to deal with the rebel candidates.

Muallappally told the media that discipline is mandatory for everyone and that leaders should abstain from making controversial statements during election period. He also said that K Muraleedharan will campaign for the party in Vadakara.

K Muraleedharan had criticized Mullappally Ramachandran the other day in connection with determining the candidate for Kallamala division in Vadakara block panchayat. Muraleedharan was provoked by the party’s gesture to hand over the party symbol to a rebel candidate who is contesting against the candidate fielded by the UDF-RMP alliance.

Muraleedharan stated that it is wrong to field a rebel candidate by violating the agreements of the alliance. He also stated that he will not campaign for the party in Vadakara until the problem was solved.
