Mullappally Ramachandran’s remarks against women stirs up a controversy
Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran has stirred up another controversy by making statements against women.
Mullappally Ramachandran stated that the government is making an adulteress give out statements in order to deviate attention from the corruption cases.
“This woman claims that the entire state raped her. It can be understood if a woman claims that she was raped once. A woman with pride would die if such a thing happened. Mullappally also said that top police officials told him that a woman, who claims that she was subjected to rape by the entire state, is going to be brought back into the public domain,” the Congress leader said.
The statement was made by the KPCC chief at Thiruvananthapuram as part of the Congress’ betrayal day protest.
But as the statements stirred up a controversy, Mullappally expressed his unconditional apology during the same event.
“The government is trying to escape from the corruption allegations. This is not a statement against anyone. All other interpretations are politically motivated,” he said.
Mullappally added that he made the statement to prove the depth to which the government has fallen.
