Mullappally Ramachandran bans congress leaders from giving public statements
Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran banned Congress leaders from making public statements on matters pertaining to the organisation. There have been different opinions within the state regarding the change in leadership at the high command level. A lot of Kerala leaders publicly disagreed with the letter sent by some congress leaders, which included Shashi Tharoor, to the high command.
Leaders like Kodikkunnil Suresh came up with public statements on this issue. There have been several reactions for and against the letter on social media. Leaders like PT Thomas supported Shashi Tharoor on the issue.
It is in this context that KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran banned leaders from making public statements that would harm the party. AICC gave out a similar instruction the other day.
As a party that allows internal democracy, everybody has the right to express their opinions. However, this should not affect the party adversely, instructed KPCC.
