Mullappally demands probe into mysterious deaths of CPM workers accused in political murder cases
Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran said that the mysterious deaths related to political murder cases in which CPM workers are named accused should be investigated.
The suicide of the accused in Mansoor murder case is mysterious. I pointed out this earlier. Details in the post-mortem report of Ratheesh should be disclosed. The unnatural deaths of the murder case accused who are CPM workers are not isolated incidents. Many such incidents have taken place in Kannur, Mullappally added.
The accused in Jayakrishnan Master murder case and Payyoli Manoj murder case died in train accident. The culprits in Ariyil Shukkoor murder and Fazal murder case also were found to have committed suicide. Trained CPM goons are responsible for the brutal political murders. Keralites are not fools to believe that they killed themselves. So, a probe should be conducted, Mullappally said.
Reacting to minister Jaleel approaching the high court against the Lokayukta verdict, Mullappally said that his attitude was a challenge to the law. The CM’s stand allowing a minister who is guilty of nepotism charges is unethical. CM is not taking action as he was aware of the nepotism, Mullappally alleged.
