Kozhikode: Congress leader and Perambra block panchayat member Jithesh Muthukad rejected the allegation made by Sajeesh, husband of nurse Lini who died during Nipah outbreak, that KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran did not console him even for namesake.
"Mullappally Ramachandran contacted Sajeesh from my phone. It was I who handed him the phone. If Sajeesh could not remember it due to his mental state then, I cannot blame him," Jithesh pointed out in a Facebook post.
Nurse Lini is honoured by the entire world. Sajeesh should not hurt her soul. The credit of resisting Nipah and corona goes to doctors, nurses and health workers only. No political party or leaders can take credit. The health workers deserve the credit, he stated.
Mullappally only brought to light those who tried to take away the credit. The minister has not done any of the duties to be fulfilled as people's representative. In a way, the CPM in Kerala celebrated the death of nurse Lini who died of Nipah, Jithesh alleged in his post.
