Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president K Sudhakaran Sudhakaran has asserted that he had not asked anyone to stop reacting against actor Joju George. Reacting to the row related to the actor, the Congress chief pointed out that the party's disaccords are with only Joju and not with the entire film industry.

"Immature behaviour of Joju triggered the issues. It is inappropriate to punish the whole film industry in the name of Joju. Joju was interested in solving the dispute. But it was some senior leaders in CPM who influenced him to withdraw from the conciliation," alleged Sudhakaran.

KPCC president added that the party will not recede from the protest against the hike in fuel price. People have acknowledged the ‘stop the wheel’ protest of Congress. The centre’s reduction of the tax rate on fuel price is definitely unsatisfactory. Sudhakaran criticised the state government too for not taking any measures to offer help to the people.

He also slammed the minister of water resources Roshy Augustine over the Mullaperiyar issue and called for his resignation. He said that the minister corrected his lie in the assembly. Sudhakaran asked doesn’t the minister felt shame over his deeds.
