Thiruvananthapuram: Rift has developed in Kerala BJP regarding the investigation into the controversial Sprinklr contract. BJP general secretary MT Ramesh opined that the case should be investigated by CBI. This was immediately after BJP president K Surendran approached the high court demanding a vigilance investigation on the matter.
MT Ramesh stated that CBI and NIA are the only organizations in the country which are capable of investigating a case with international links. He alleged that the foreign visits Pinarayi Vijayan made due to his illness has made the state terminally ill and that CBI is the only solution for this.
Meanwhile, K Surendran had approached the high court the other day seeking a vigilance investigation into the case. MT Ramesh’s statement has exposed the divide within the Kerala BJP. It is also reported that the Krishnadas faction of BJP has conveyed their dissatisfaction over Surendran’s action to the centre.
Earlier, Surendran had supported the works of the Chief Minister and the government in the fight against COVID-19. This had also caused displeasure inside the party.
