MP Sreemathy's son appointed MD of public sector company
Thiruvananthapuram: P K Sreemathy’s son Sudhir Nambiar has been appointed Managing Director of the state-run Kerala State Industrial Enterprises (KSIE) Limited under the Ministry of Industries.
The Parliamentarian from Kannur is also the sister of Industries Minister E P Jayarajan’s wife.
KSIE is in charge of the operations of Air Cargo Complexes at Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode International Airports. Kerala Soaps is also owned by the KSIE.
The KSIE operates its offices in Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Kottayam and Palakkad. The company made a profit of Rs 7 crore in 2012-13, but recorded a loss of Rs 4.5 crore in 2014-15. However, it recovered marginally and recorded a profit of Rs 17.5 lakh during 2015-16.
