Thiruvananthapuram: A huge number of women candidates with a higher level of educational qualification will be inducted into Kerala Police on Sunday.
Among the 446 new women recruits waiting for their passing out parade, 59 are BTech degree holders and 50 have BEd graduation. The number of postgraduates is 50 and among them, there are 7 MTech, 6 MBA and 2 MCA degree holders.
Another interesting trend is that 50 of the recruits are already engaged in government service.
Meanwhile, among the recruits, 110 are from Thiruvananthapuram, followed by Kollam (75), Palakkad (51) and Kozhikode (37).
Interestingly, there are 41 youngsters under the age of 25.
The 446 candidates are about to be inducted after one-year-long training. They are trained for arms drill, weapon use, self-defence, lathi use, field engineering, commando operations, bomb detection and disposal, VVIP security, firefighting, high-altitude mountaineering, anti-terrorist operation and disaster management.
