Thiruvananthapuram: The residence of the Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan was attacked by unknown assailants. The assailants vandalised the window glasses of the BJP leader's house in Ulloor. Further, blood stains were also found on the car porch and the steps leading to the balcony.

However, police are still unclear on when the incident happened. A woman who came to clean on Thursday morning was the first to notice the house in disarray.

Balu, a helper, said that they don't feel the incident was an attempted robbery. Further, no attempts were made to break into the house.

Police have reached the spot and launched a probe. They also retrieved CCTV footage from a neighbouring house.

The house is used as a residence by Muraleedharan when he visits Thiruvananthapuram. The Minister's office is also functioning near the house. Nobody was present at the house when the incident happened.
