More than 8,000 women and children participate in Kerala Police’s self-defence training

Thiruvananthapuram: More than 8,000 women and children participated in Kerala Police’s free self-defence training programme ‘Jwala’.

The two-day programme organised across all districts in the state witnessed participation from even elderly women.

The presence of celebrities and political representatives made the programme more noteworthy.

According to reports, 8,125 individuals in four batches attended the programme that concluded on Sunday.

Since 2015, Kerala Police has been organising self-defence training programme as a part of its Janamaithri Suraksha Project . Lakhs of women and children have undergone free training.
