Monsoon intensifies in Kerala, Yellow alert issued in various districts

Thiruvananthapuram: With the Monsoon gaining momentum in Kerala, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall, accompanied by gusty winds and lightning, for the next five days, in various districts. Meanwhile, IMD has issued yellow alerts in various districts for the next few days.

IMD has predicted that 'Biparjoy' will likely intensify into an extremely severe cyclonic storm during the next 12 hours and will move north-northeastwards gradually during the next 24 hours, before moving north-north-westward.

Yellow Alert:

10-06-2023 : Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur
11-06-2023 : Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode
12-06-2023 : Kozhikode, Kannur
