Kochi: A video of antique fraudster Monson Mavunkal intimidating the police officials has surfaced, proving the allegations that he has links with influential people. Reportedly, the video is of an incident that happened two months ago.
In the video, Monson is seen shouting at the police team including a DySP who visited his house as a part of investigation in a case against him. The case was reportedly filed by Sreevalsam group over a cheating worth Rs 6 crore.
In the video, Monson can be heard saying that he is not willing to disclose anything about the matter and that he would shoot the visuals of the conversation. He also said that he would file complaint with DGP and high court over the conduct of the police officials.
Monson also asked the officers why they approached the neighbours to inquire about him and why they interacted with his wife. In the other part of video, a SI who is apparently linked to Monson also can be seen.
Meanwhile, the DySP in the video can be seen giving answers to Monson's questions. The official made it clear that when a complaint is filed, the whereabouts of the accused will be investigated. DySP also reiterated that investigation will progress in proper manner even if DGP or any other person intervened in it.
