Kochi: A case has been charged against Anitha Pullayil, a friend of antique fraudster Monson Mavunkal, for disclosing the identity of the victim in a sexual assault case. It is alleged that Anitha disclosed the name and picture of the woman who raised a rape complaint against Monson. The same woman has filed a complaint against Anitha too.

Case has been registered against Anitha as per IPC 228 A (1). If found guilty, she will get two years sentence. The police informed that they will investigate why she disclosed the identity of the victim and if any vendetta existed between them.

Anitha Pullayil’s name surfaced in the antique fraud case soon after Monson Mavunkal was nabbed. There were allegations that it was Anitha who introduced former DGP Loknath Behera and other VIPs to Monson.
