Kochi: The girl who filed a molestation complaint revealed that Monson Mavunkal had been secretly recording visuals of clients visiting the massage centre that he had set up inside his house. The girl in her statement to the Crime Branch said that many have not come forward with complaints against Monson as they are being blackmailed.
Monson had been handling a cosmetology treatment centre on the second floor of his house. It was revealed in the investigation conducted so far that many famous people used to frequent his place for treatment. The investigation team had earlier raised suspicion that Monson was recording visuals of his clients. The suspicion was strengthened as none of the famous people who arrived at Monson’s massage centre raised any complaints.
The statement by the girl involved in the POCSO case is learnt to be of great importance in the case. The Crime Branch has informed that a detailed investigation will be conducted following the recent revelations. Police are expecting more clarity in the investigation.
The girl involved in the POCSO case was taken to Monson Mavunkal’s house on Thursday for evidence collection by the Crime Branch. The girl has given statement saying that Monson raped her even two days before his arrest. She also said that she was being raped by Monson since she was 17 years old. A detailed investigation is being carried out in the case. The investigation team has received clear evidence to show that the girl used to stay in his house. They also informed that a scientific inspection might be carried out at Monson’s house and guest house.
Monson’s arrest was registered in the DRDO fake document case. The decision is to take Monson into custody next week and conduct detailed questioning.
