Kochi: Amid the Crime Branch investigation over the cheating case, an audio clip of the self-styled fake antique dealer Monson Mavunkal has come out. In the audio clip, Monson says Anitha Pullayil became revengeful towards him after he demanded her to return the money borrowed from him.

The audio clip says, Anitha borrowed Rs 18 lakhs from him to meet the expenses of the marriage of her sister. It was to buy gold and garments; the money was borrowed with an assurance of giving it back in one month.

When Monson became financially weak, he asked her to return Rs 10 lakh. As per Monson's claim, it was the key reason why she started keeping away from him.

The audio clip is part of a conversation between Monson and a complainant. Monson further said, he was financially sound during the marriage of Anitha's sister. The marriage of his friend Anoop's brother was also done on the same day.

It was with my money both the marriages were done in style, Monson said during the conversation.

When Monson demanded the money back, Anitha had enough cash in hand. Only Rs 10 lakh out of the Rs 18 lakh given have been requested back. Monson even assured her of providing the money in euro in a month after.

However, Anitha asked Monson the reason why he demands the money only from her when there are 114 other girls whose marriage expenditures were met by him. Replying to her, he asked how one can ask for money from orphan girls.

Monson also stated that he has enough evidence to prove that the money was spent from his account to meet the expenses of the marriage.

Anitha Pullayil justified her stance when Crime Branch questioned her over this. The Crime Branch plans to get Monson into custody for further questioning associated with two other cases. Only then more details of the revelations would come out. Anitha however reiterates that she was not aware of the frauds committed by Monson despite knowing him. She started keeping away after getting hints of his frauds.
