Kochi: The Crime Branch plans to interrogate Italy-based Malayali woman Anitha Pullayil, who is currently residing abroad, by bringing her to Kerala. Anitha is suspected to have more details regarding Monson Mavunkal who was arrested over the antique theft case.

Anitha introduced many influential people including former DGP Lokanath Behera to Monson. She is said to have taken him to Monson’s museum. Anitha had earlier exchanged crucial information regarding the case to the Crime Branch. She had also helped the complainants in the fraud case. The Crime Branch is planning to do a detailed interrogation once she reaches Kerala. She is also learnt to have information regarding Monson’s other connections.

Nobody really knows how Anitha became a Kerala government-nominated member of Loka Kerala Sabha, a platform to bring together non-resident Keralites.

Anitha maintained good relations with Monson whenever she came to Kochi. Both of them had money dealings. Monson has known Anitha quite well for some time. It is unclear when Anitha’s interrogation will take place. It may be conducted online owing to the Covid situation.
