Monson case: Cherthala CI gets transfer, probe into Monson’s paper company


Cherthala CI P Sreekumar has been transferred to Palakkad Crime Branch. Ernakulam Central; AC Lalji who was also accused of having ties in the Monson case got a new appointment with promotion.

Kochi: Cherthala CI, who was accused to have close ties with Monson Mavunkal, has been transferred. Cherthala CI P Sreekumar has been transferred to Palakkad Crime Branch. Ernakulam Central ACP Lalji, who was also accused of having ties in the Monson case, got a new appointment with promotion. He has been appointed as Ernakulam Rural Additional SP.

Meanwhile, the audio of P Sreekumar threatening Monson’s former driver Ajith has come out. Earlier, Monson had filed a complaint with Cherthala police against Ajith. CI Sreekumar threatened Ajith to come to the station on this matter.

The Crime Branch has widened investigation related to Monson Mavunkal’s paper company Kallinga Kalyan Private Limited. The Crime Branch had received the photos of men who are thought to be Monson’s partners in the company. The investigation team aims to learn more details from them.

The investigation team is of the opinion that Monson had deleted data from his laptop. The police are trying to retrieve the information from the laptop.
