Kochi: An eye witness has revealed that the police officers upon arriving at Monson’s house for arrest got into a clash with the bouncers arranged for Monson’s safety. The witness had recorded the video of the clash between the bouncers and the police officers inside the house. Alikumar, the eyewitness told Mathrubhumi News that the police took his phone forcefully and erased the videos from his phone.
He heard loud noises from Monson’s house at night. When he went there running, he saw the police and the bouncers clashing with each other. He said that he recorded the video as he was unsure about what was happening. Alikumar said the two police officers saw him recording the fight and threatened him that he shouldn’t be doing it.
After a while, a man came to meet him and introduced himself as the Crime Branch Special DySP. He told Alikumar that the police had come there over a small problem and it was not right of him to have taken a video of it. Alikumar said that when he asked for his phone back, a woman police officer returned it to him after erasing the video on his phone.
Since Monson’s daughter’s engagement was around the corner and the arrangements were going on for that, many people visited the place. Neighbours were not invited for the function. Alikumar said that Monson did not maintain any relation with his neighbours.
