Money seized from home by Vigilance must be given back as it is legal: K M Shaji
Kozhikode: MLA K M Shaji said that chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan is taking revenge on him and is using the Vigilance to conduct raids. The money that was seized from his house has proper documents, he said.
As banks are closed for 3 days continuously, Shaji said he was unable to deposit the money. He said the Vigilance had reached his house thinking he would have money as he was a candidate for the polls and they had to return the money taken from here.
"I have documents to prove the source of money. As the money was accounted, I kept it at home even after Pinarayi Vijayan's police keep hunting me down with continuous raids. The documents to prove the source of money can be submitted to any investigation agency," Shaji said.
I don't own any illegal assests, he added.
Shaji also blamed Pinarayi Vijayan for the Vigilance raid. He said he has correct documents on his assets and is ready to show it to any investigation agency.
The Vigilance department of the Pinaray Government is not doing a fair probe. They are only attempting to trap me. I will not bow down before them and will deal legally.
The raids that was conducted in the residences of K M Shaji began on Monday morning at 7 and concluded only by 11 pm.
