Modi to visit Kochi, Thrissur today


Thiruvananthapuram: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will arrive here later Sunday, is slated to dedicate the Rs 16,504 crore single largest investment in Kerala when he unveils an integrated Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) refinery expansion complex. Narendra Modi will be in Kochi and Thrissur on Sunday to take part in two functions. Modi is reaching Kerala for the 2nd time in the month of January.

The prime minister will reach the Kochi Naval base at 1.55 pm and will proceed to the Rajagiri College maidan by helicopter. He is scheduled to visit The Bharat Petroleum Corporation’s Kochi Refinery to dedicate the Integrated Refinery Expansion Complex (IREC) to the nation and lay the foundation stone for the Petrochemical Complex. The PM will be here from 2.35 pm to 3.15 pm.

He will reach the Rajagiri Maidan and take a helicopter to Thrissur. Modi will take part in the Yuva Morcha meet. The PM will be in Thrissur from 4.15 in the evening till 5. Modi will return by 5.50 in the evening. Though the BJP leaders will meet the prime minister, there are no chances for a political discussion.
