Modi supporters must join BJP: K Muraleedharan
Kozhikode: Shashi Tharoor came under sharp criticism from senior party colleagues in Kerala for his comments that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be praised for doing the right things. MP K Muraleedharan also raised a sharp criticism against Tharoor over his remarks favouring Modi. Responding to Tharoor’s remark, Muraleedharan stated that people who praise Modi are free to join BJP.
He was addressing a press meet here on Monday.
“Those who want to praise Modi must leave Congress and join BJP. Congress candidates have won Lok Sabha elections after making strong criticism against Modi. Everyone should remember the fact,” said Muraleedharan.
“During the 10 years long reign of UPA government, BJP and Modi criticised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who is a well-respected personality. Such people donot deserve any good word. People are praising Modi for making toilets across the country. But these same leaders have complained that there is no water to use these toilets,” criticised Muraleedharan.
He noted that party members are bound to follow the party policy.
“Those who are not ready to follow party policy, they should leave for BJP. Responding to the controversy Tharoor remained unfazed and said that there was nothing wrong in stand. He stated that nobody should teach him. But I am sure that the public will teach him the lesson,” added Muraleedharan.
