Roshy Augustine pointed out that the Jose K Mani faction has no plans to join another front.

Kottayam: MLA Roshy Augustine expressed disgust over the United Democratic Front's (UDF) decision to oust Kerala Congress Jose K Mani faction.

He noted that the Jose K Mani faction never refused to follow any decisions taken by the UDF. He also sought an explanation from UDF over expelling the faction.

"I am not worried or surprised about the UDF’s decision. Kerala Congress Jose K Mani faction will be always there in the party offices and will continue to help the people of Kerala. We voted everywhere as directed by the front and followed all of its directions. What is the reason to expel us, what is the grave mistake that we made? UDF should explain it," an emotional Roshy Augustine asked.

"The people of Kerala are witnessing the treachery against Jose faction which has always supported the front as per the etiquettes of democracy," he added.

At the same time, Roshy pointed out that the Jose K Mani faction has no plans to join another front.

"We can not think of our next step until we get clarity over the reason behind ousting us. Kerala Congress is a prominent political party with strong roots in all 14 districts across the state, said the MLA.

Roshy Augustine alleged that those who failed to attack K M Mani from the front are now attacking the faction from behind. He also declared that the party will continue to work and fight.

The UDF’s decision is a heinous one. Apart from Kerala Congress activists, all activists in UDF will be upset over it. KM Mani founded and developed this party. So, we won’t be abandoned. From today, we are taking a firm stand to organise all people who believe in democracy and farmers in Kerala to move forward, declared Roshy Augustine.
