MLA Eldho Abraham criticises police force; Kodiyeri expresses pain over issues
Kochi: MLA Eldho Abraham criticised the police force in connection with the lathi charge against him and other CPI workers during the march to DIG office. The police force in Kerala is not moving in the right path. Lapses occur from their part continuously. CPI is not hesitant to point out the mistakes and will continue to make corrections, he added.
The MLA made it clear that questioning the identity of a Communist worker cannot be accepted. He was speaking to media at the hospital. Meanwhile, Ernakulam district Collector collected information from Eldho Abraham.
The statement of the injured policemen also will be recorded. As directed by the chief minister, Ernakulam district Collector is probing into the incident in which CPI leaders were lathi charged by the police.
Meanwhile, CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that the police action against the CPI leaders was unfortunate. It should not have happened. CPM is deeply pained over the issue. The government will take action after the Collector submits the report. Actions will be taken to end the issues with CPI, he added.
