Dr MK Muneer collapses on stage

Thiruvananthapuram: Muslim League leader Dr MK Muneer MLA collapsed while addressing the protesters who staged demonstrations around the secretariat premises on Saturday.

The other leaders on the stage immediately attended him and helped him to sit on a chair there. According to reports, Muneer’s health is satisfactory now.

Muneer was welcomed to address the protesting UDF activities following the speech of CP John. However, he collapsed soon after speaking a few words. He continued to sit on the dais and insisted on not taking him to the hospital. Later he continued his speech after a few minutes.

Alleging misgovernance, violence, corruption, and inflation faced by the public, the UDF and BJP workers have been staging protests in Thiruvananthapuram on the occasion of Pinarayi Vijayan-led LDF government’s second anniversary of coming to power in Kerala.
